Dino Food

Ben is a bit obsessed with dinosaurs lately, thanks to the PBS show Dinosaur Train. Today we were having strawberries for snack (and yes, I even "snuck" a few myself!) and I overheard this conversation:

Leah: What kind of a dinosaur are you, Ben?

Ben: Me a tywannasaurous.

Leah: Then why are you eating strawberries?

(pause)

Ben: Me pwetending them is carrion.

Leah: Oh. Okay.

Well then. As long as you're pretending that they are the right food for a ancient meat eating monster, just carry on as usual. (Get it? Carry on?!)

Cashwise carries Quaker dinosaur eggs oatmeal which may be of interest to the paleontologist-in-training. "Carrion" is a pretty impressive word for a preschooler.

Ben also can name about 6 types of dinosaurs. The big words are totally hilarious coming out of his mouth.
