I wrote this post almost a year ago, and almost every day I get somebody who found my blog by searching "Space Aliens restaurant" in some form. Apparently I should blog more about popular restaurants and/or retail establishments.
I've really had only a handful of negative comments in my short blogging career, and I got another today - on this same post. Apparently it hits the nerve of lots of ex-food service employees.
Finally, I wrote a response in the comments. If you would like, go back and read it and tell me what you think - was I unfair, or do my complaints seem warranted? Are the anonymous (of course) commenters just bitter or do they have a point?
I'm not going to change the post, but I may be willing to add an update, if you, as readers, feel it justified.

Let's see...
(1) The initial greeter/host was not as helpful or communicative as he could have been. Instead of the final "Okay", maybe "Okay, Let me see what I can do. I'll be back shortly."
(2) The food was slow: 50% slower than calling Domino's to deliver a pizza to the restaurant.
(3) The self service ticket machine was not robust and the human help was not reasuring, eg "We have this problem too frequently with this machine." or "Here, let me help."
I don't see anything in the post needing mitigation or apology. Space Aliens is certainly a customer experience restaurant vs food or ambience restaurant. Your experience was less than delightful.
Liz, the only thing lamer than blogs is commenting on blogs. Don't pander to these ingrates. Stay true to what drew them there in the first place: pithy writing and cute photos of Leah and Ben.
Okay, this is just my humble opinion, but you asked for your readers input, so here goes.
This is your blog. You can write whatever you please. And if you want to rant about bad service received, so be it. You don't have to publish negative comments, let alone respond to them. Your blog is not a public forum, unless you want it to be that way.
I do think that people who leave negative comments and post as "anonymous" are a bit spineless and cowardly. If they can't leave their contact information, I wouldn't give them a second thought.
Noel - Thanks for the backup!
Aaron - Thanks for the tough love. Somehow I don't hate you, although you called my blog lame and my post even lame-ER.
Blue Castle - I do want this blog to be a public forum, which is why I allow anonymous comments. They don't really bother me - I just wanted to be sure that they weren't correct!
