Overheard today at gymnastics:
"Last night I took my daughter to Grand Forks to see High School Musical on ice. Only in North Dakota would someone drive 70 miles in -40 degree weather...to see something on ICE."
We are at the coldest point of the winter...unless it gets colder. It's -17 right now.

The -31 F this morning with no wind was certainly more tolerable than last night's -25 F with -48 F windchill. I hate it when my eyes start icing over....Don't look into the wind -- you'll go blind!
I almost purchased tickets to that event when it originally was announced, last summer.. I'm glad I didn't!
