Aaron and I have been discussing some things that are making me crabby, so I'm going to steal this fun list from Stacie instead of writing my own post today. It kind of makes me depressed because a lot of them I haven't done, but I've never been to Europe, and that would eliminate about a third of the list, I believe.
Also, this list is a lot like Maggie's, so maybe I'll have to sit down and write a personalized one sometime. Because to be honest, a lot of these things I'm not that interested in accomplishing!
I've starred my own experiences, and just for fun, italicized the Europe ones. You know, to make myself feel better. You're also supposed to add one of your own, so I'll do that, too.

The Europe stuff in the list is kind of touristy. My personal Europe list includes...
(1) Visited the 12th century Norwegian stave church just down the valley from where my ancestors and relatives have been living for hundreds of years.
(2) Jumped naked in a hole in the ice on a Finnish lake after taking a sauna with work colleagues in a traditional smoke sauna.
(3) Eaten lunch in the old city section of Stockholm.
(4) Eaten reindeer, cloud berries, and tar ice cream in Finland.
(5) Visited Roman ruins (Trier, Germany) which were standing at the time of Christ.
(6) Seen vinyards along the Mosel River which are used in making Riesling wines.
(7) Visited the Deutches Museum in Munich.
(8) Cruised the fjords in Norway.
(9) Travelled through East Friesland in Germany where my other half of my ancestry comes from.
(10) Been inside an 18th century windmill in Holland.
Better visit Europe! :) PS...my link doesn't work!
Lyz, is the emphasis on Europe items an attempt to divert our attention away from the farm child stuff you haveN'T done? As a city cousin, I get a higher country rating then you do.
Noel - HA! You are right. I am ashamed of my lack of farm experiences. My sibs and I were fairly firmly divided - boys outside, girls inside. So no, I never killed an animal myself (although I did watch) or see an animal give birth. I never drove a combine, but I did drive a tractor and/or Farmhand a couple times. I was never in a car accident, but was certainly in several scrapes.
I DID: Jump haystacks/bales, dust the 5000 ledges in an old farmhouse, help with branding cattle, help butcher rabbits and chickens, shovel manure 2 ft. deep, herd cows on foot, jump off the roofs of barns (yes, it was low, okay?!)
I was a bit of a princess, but I kind of think that the "city cousins" did more showy stuff (like driving the combine) when they came to visit than what the actual kids did on a regular basis. Except my brothers. They worked their farmer rear ends off.
'kay, I totally skipped through that list because...
liz, when we are old enough to leave our families for a few weeks at a time, we will go to Europe together. No one else understands the my travel rules and priorities quite like family. And i would drink a lot less with you along.
